
The Calgary Stampeders selected ten players in Tuesday’s CFL Draft. Here are the players who are headed to Calgary.
Damien Alford is six foot six and weighs 211 pounds. The 24-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (1st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Alford played four seasons at Syracuse (2020-23) making 67 catches for 1,291 yards, and seven touchdowns in 42 games for the Orange. Then, he transferred to Utah in 2024 playing four games for the Utes.
Christopher Fortin is six foot four and weighs 303 pounds. The 24-year-old was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the first round (8th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Fortin played four seasons at the University of Connecticut (2021-24) playing center, tackle, and guard in 41 games for the Huskies. In 2024, Connecticut averaged 31.92 points per game, 199.2 rushing yards per game, 198.38 passing yards per game, 397.6 total yards per game, 51 touchdowns, and allowed 14 sacks finishing 9-4 for the season on their way to winning the 2024 Wasabi Fenway Bowl.
Quincy Vaughn is six foot four and weighs 251 pounds. The 23-year-old from Hamilton, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the second round (17th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Vaughn played five seasons at North Dakota (2020-24) making 21 catches for 197 yards, four touchdowns, completing 11 of 28 passes (39%) for 92 yards, four touchdowns, 121 carries for 327 yards, and 17 touchdowns in 54 games for the Fighting Hawks.
Anton Haie is five foot eleven and weighs 199 pounds. The 24-year-old from Levis, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the third round (20th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Haie played four seasons at the University of Laval (2021-24) making 34 tackles (25 solos, 9 assists), seven pass breakups, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception, and five blocked kicks in 26 games for the Rouge et Or.
Nicky-Alexander Farinaccio is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 25-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the fourth round (32nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Farinaccio played four seasons at the University of Montreal (2021-24) making 120 tackles (78 solos, 42 assists), 19.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups in 25 games for the Carabins. He was named First Team U-Sports All-Star in 2022, two-time Athlete of the Year, two-time RSEQ All-Star Defensive Team, and Second Team U-Sports All-Star.
Vyshonne Janusas is five foot eleven and weighs 221 pounds. The 24-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the fifth round (38th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Janusas played three seasons at the University of Guelph (2022-24) making 71 catches for 1,010 yards, eight touchdowns, three carries for four yards, completing one pass for 32 yards, 30 kick returns for 800 yards, one touchdown, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 16 games for the Gryphons. In 2024, he made 37 catches for 546 yards, three touchdowns, 18 kick returns for 506 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles (2 solos) in eight games.
Ludovick Choquette is five foot nine and weighs 206 pounds. The 23-year-old from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the sixth round (47th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Choquette played four seasons at Western Illinois (2020-23) with 199 carries for 679 yards, five touchdowns, 84 catches for 642 yards, five touchdowns, two kick returns for 36 yards, 14 tackles (14 solos), and one forced fumble in 34 games for the Leathernecks. He was named an All-MVFC Honorable Mention All-Academic in 2023.
Then, he transferred to Long Island University in 2024 with 40 carries for 216 yards, seven catches for 37 yards, and one touchdown in six games for the Sharks.
Matt Stokman is six foot three and weighs 334 pounds. The 23-year-old from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the seventh round (56th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Stokman played five seasons at the University of Manitoba (2019-24) playing 36 36 games, of which 26 were starts including 24 at guard. In 2024, Manitoba averaged 30.67 points per game, 252.7 rushing yards per game, 205.33 passing yards per game, 439.2 total yards per game, 31 touchdowns, and allowed 12 sacks finishing 7-2 for the season.
Ashton Miller-Melancon is six foot two and weighs 203 pounds. The 23-year-old from Montreal, Quebec, was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in the eighth round (65th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Miller-Melancon played four seasons at Queen’s University (2021-24) making 150 tackles (108 solos, 42 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, 16 interceptions for 185 yards, 27 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 40 games for the Gaels.
