The Toronto Argonauts selected offensive lineman Valentin Senn in the first round (9th pick), and defensive lineman Soane Toia in the second round (18th pick) of the 2025 CFL Global Draft.
Valentin Senn is six foot seven and weighs 305 pounds. A native of Volders, Austria, Senn signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Senn played one season at Colorado in 2020 playing one game for the Buffaloes. In 2020, Colorado averaged 28.50 points per game, 212.3 rushing yards per game, 201.50 passing yards per game, 413.8 total yards per game, 22 touchdowns, and allowed seven tackles finishing 4-2 for the season.
Then, he transferred to Connecticut (2021-24) playing left tackle in 41 games for the Huskies. In 2024, Connecticut averaged 31.94 points per game, 199.2 rushing yards per game, 198.38 passing yards per game, 397.6 total yards per game, 51 touchdowns, and allowed 14 sacks finishing 9-4 for the season on their way to winning the 2024 Wasabi Fenway Bowl over North Carolina.
Soane Toia is six foot and weighs 278 pounds. A native of Nuku’alosa, Tonga, Toia made 59 tackles (24 solos, 35 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks in 13 games for the San Jose State Spartans. He was named First Team All-Mountain West in 2024.
Collegiately, Toia played five seasons at San Jose State (2020-24) making 153 tackles (75 solos, 78 assists), 26.5 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks in 57 games for the Spartans.
