The San Antonio Brahmas released linebacker Tariq Carpenter on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Tariq Carpenter is six foot three and weighs 230 pounds. The 26-year-old from Ludowici, Georgia, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on September 26, 2024. In 2025, he made three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in three games.
The Green Bay Packers drafted Carpenter in the seventh round (228th pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Carpenter made eight tackles (6 solos, 2 assists) in 14 games.
The Packers released him on August 30, 2023. Next, Carpenter signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 4, 2023. He made two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in two games. The Steelers released him on December 18, 2023.
Collegiately, Carpenter played five seasons at Georgia Tech (2017-21) making 223 tackles (153 solos, 70 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, 22 pass breakups, and four interceptions for 49 yards in 52 games for the Yellow Jackets.
