The Toronto Argonauts signed defensive end Da’Marcus Johnson on Wednesday.

Da’Marcus Johnson is six foot four and weighs 255 pounds. A native of Sacramento, California, Johnson went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Johnson played one season at American River College in 2019 making 27 tackles (10 solos, 17 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, one forced fumble, and two pass breakups in 10 games for the Beavers. Next, he transferred to Fresno State (2020-22) making 21 tackles (10 solos, 11 assists), four tackles for loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble in 29 games for the Bulldogs.

Then, Johnson transferred to Eastern Washington in 2023 making 52 tackles (25 solos, 27 assists), nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 11 games for the Eagles. He was named the Week 12 Big Sky Co-Defensive Player of the Week after making 10 tackles (7 solos, 3 assists), three tackles for loss, and two sacks against Northern Arizona University.
