The Ottawa Redblacks re-signed long snapper Peter Adjey to a two-year contract extension through the 2026 season on Thursday.

Peter Adjey is six foot three and weighs 230 pounds. The 25-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was acquired in a trade from the Edmonton Elks on May 1, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. In 2024, Adjey made two tackles on special teams in 15 games. He’s helped kicker Lewis Ward tied second in field goals made (48), and punter Richie Leone rank third in punt average yards (48.2).

The Edmonton Elks drafted Adjey in the third round (28th pick) of the 2022 CFL Draft. He made three tackles on special teams and one fumble recovery in 18 games during his rookie season. In 2023, he made two tackles on special teams in 18 games.

Collegiately, Adjey played four seasons at Queen’s University (2018-21) making 13 tackles (7 solo, 6 assists) in 17 games for the Gaels.
