B.C. Lions sign quarterback Brennan Armstrong

The B.C. Lions signed quarterback Brennan Armstrong to the practice squad on Thursday.

Brennan Armstrong is six foot two and weighs 215 pounds. The 24-year-old from Shelby, Ohio, went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. Armstrong attended the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars rookie minicamps.

Collegiately, Armstrong played five seasons at the University of Virginia (2018-22) completing 685 of 1,131 passes (60.6%) for 9,034 yards, 58 touchdowns, 35 interceptions, 363 carries for 1,267 yards, 20 touchdowns, one catch for 22 yards, and one touchdown in 41 games for the Cavaliers.

Armstrong set Virginia records in career passing yards (9,034), touchdowns (58), total offense (10,301), and set the single-game passing record of 554 yards against UNC in 2021. He was named Third Team All-ACC and won the Dudley Award in 2021 honoring the top NCAA football player in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Then, Armstrong transferred to N.C. State in 2023 completing 160 of 262 passes (61%) for 1,785 yards, 11 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 143 carries for 665 yards, and 7 touchdowns in 12 games for the Wolf Pack.

He set the N.C. State single-season record for rushing yards by a quarterback (665). Armstrong is the most prolific left-handed QB in ACC history with 10,819 yards between UVA and N.C. State.
