The United Football League named Michigan Panthers Head Coach Mike Nolan the 2024 UFL Coach of the Year. Nolan is in his second season as Michigan’s coach in which the team finished in second place with a 7-3 record in the USFL Conference.
Last year, Michigan finished with a 4-7 record in the USFL’s North Division losing to the Pittsburgh Maulers in the playoffs. This season, the Panthers opened the season beating the St. Louis Battlehawks before losing to the Birmingham Stallions in Week 2, winning over the Houston Roughnecks in Week 3, and losing to the San Antonio Brahmas in Week 4.
Their season turned around winning their next five games over the Memphis Showboats twice, Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, and the Houston Roughnecks, before losing again to the Birmingham Stallions in Week 10.
