The Ottawa Redblacks signed wide receiver Eli Stove and defensive lineman Malcolm Lee on Tuesday.
Eli Stove is six foot and weighs 191 pounds. The 25-year-old from Niceville, Florida, made five catches for 61 yards and 29 kick returns for 750 yards in ten games for the New Orleans Breakers (USFL) in 2023. The Breakers signed Stove as a free agent on October 18, 2022.
Before New Orleans, Stove signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2021. However, during the team’s minicamp, Stove tore his ACL and had successful surgery.
Collegiately, Stove played five seasons at Auburn (2016-20) making 136 catches for 1,186 yards, six touchdowns, 55 carries for 554 yards, four touchdowns, three kick returns for 93 yards, and four punt returns for 30 yards in 52 games for the Tigers.
Malcolm Lee is six foot five and weighs 255 pounds. The 25-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, was drafted by the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft.
The Sea Dragons were not included in the XFL and USFL merger which formed the United Football League (UFL). Before Seattle, he went undrafted in 2023 and attended rookie minicamps with the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants.
Collegiately, Lee played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College (2017-18) with 53 tackles (25 solo, 28 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup in 16 games for the Reivers.
Next, he transferred to Kansas (2019-22) with 78 tackles (48 solo, 38 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception for 11 yards, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 44 games for the Jayhawks.
