The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive back Jaylon McClain-Sapp on Friday.

Jaylon McClain-Sapp is five foot eleven and weighs 181 pounds. The 24-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, made three tackles in one preseason game for the B.C. Lions in 2023.

Before B.C., McClain-Sapp Jaylon McClain-Sapp signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Then, he signed with the Pittsburgh Maulers (USFL) in 2022. In 2022, McClain-Sapp made seven tackles (4 solo, 3 assists), one interception, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in four games.

Collegiately, McClain-Sapp played five seasons at Marshall University (2016-20) with 67 tackles (44 solo, 23 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 20 yards, and 16 pass breakups in 38 games for the Thundering Herd.
