Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts scored two touchdowns in a Eagles win on Monday night at Kansas City.

The Philadelphia Eagles (9-1) returned from their bye week on Monday night in a Super Bowl LVII rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs dominated this game from the start. However, Philadelphia’s defense shut out the Chiefs in the second half. The turning point of the game came late in the third quarter when Bradley Roby punched the ball out of Travis Kelce’s arm and the Eagles recovered.

The big play the Eagles made was Jalen Hurts throwing a 41-yard pass to DeVonta Smith at the Chiefs’ one-yard which led to a Jalen Hurts touchdown that put the Eagles up 21-17 with 6:20 left. Philadelphia had 238 yards on offense. Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 14 of 22 passes (64%) for 150 yards, one interception, 12 carries for 29 yards, and two touchdowns. Running back D’Andre Swift had 12 carries for 76 yards, and one touchdown, and wide receiver DeVonta Smith made 6 catches for 99 yards.

Philadelphia’s defense made 68 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, five pass breakups, nine quarterback hits, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Kansas City had 336 yards on offense. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 24 of 43 passes (56%) for 177 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 6 carries for 38 yards. Running back Isiah Pacheco had 19 carries for 89 yards.

Kansas City wide receiver Justin Watson made 5 catches for 53 yards, and one touchdown, and tight end Travis Kelce made 7 catches for 44 yards, and one touchdown. Kansas City’s defense made 47 tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks, four quarterback hits, three pass breakups, and one interception.
