The Ottawa Redblacks promoted wide receiver Savon Scarver to the active roster from the practice squad on Tuesday.
Savon Scarver is five foot eleven and weighs 175 pounds. The 24-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada, made five catches for 59 yards in two preseason games for the Redblacks. Before Ottawa, he attended the Chicago Bears training camp in 2022.
Collegiately, Scarver played five seasons at Utah State (2017-21) with 55 catches for 757 yards, five touchdowns, ten carries for 39 yards, 107 kick returns for 2,935 yards, seven touchdowns, and four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) in 56 games for the Aggies. He is a two-time First-Team All-MWC (2018, 2019) and Consensus All-American in 2018.
