Philadelphia Eagles sign former Jacksonville tight end Dan Arnold

The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Dan Arnold to a one-year contract through the 2023 season on Friday. Dan Arnold is six foot six and weighs 240 pounds.

The 28-year-old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, caught nine passes for 135 games in 17 games for the Jaguars in 2022. He played two seasons in Jacksonville with 37 catches for 459 yards in 25 games.

Arnold went undrafted in 2017 and received two tryouts for the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints. The Saints signed Arnold to a three-year contract in 2017.

Arnold played a season and a half in New Orleans (2018-19) with 14 catches or 175 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games. After the Saints released him, Arnold was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Cardinals. He played a season and a half in Arizona (2019-20) with 37 catches for 540 yards and six touchdowns in 19 games.

After Arizona, Arnold signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. He caught seven passes for 84 yards in three games. After Carolina, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collegiately, Arnold played four seasons at UW–Platteville (2013-16) with 124 catches for 2,195 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five kick returns for 80 yards in 32 games for the Pioneers.
