The Calgary Stampeders signed former Alberta defensive lineman Kwadwo Boahen on Friday. Kwadwo Boahen is six foot two and weighs 285 pounds.

The 23-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Stampeders in the third round (22nd pick) in the 2023 CFL Draft. Boahen played one season at the University of Alberta in 2022 with 21 tackles (13 solo, 8 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup in seven games for the Golden Bears.

Before Alberta, Boahen played three seasons at York University (2018-19, 2021) with 55 tackles (38 solo, 36 assists), nine tackles for loss, and five sacks in 22 games for the Lions. In his final season at York, Boahen made 22 tackles (16 solo, 13 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks in six games.
