Montreal Alouettes and defensive back Raheem Wilson agree to a contract extension

The Montreal Alouettes and defensive back Raheem Wilson agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2023 season on Thursday.

The 29-year-old from Desoto, Texas, had 20 tackles in seven games for the Alouettes in 2022. Montreal signed Wilson after he was released by the Stampeders on August 2nd and had 19 tackles in six games for Calgary. This will be Wilson’s second season in Montreal.

Wilson joined the Stampeders in 2019 and played three seasons with 107 tackles, two tackles on special teams, three interceptions, and one forced fumble in 38 games.

Collegiately, Wilson played five seasons at Southeastern Oklahoma State (2012-16) with 181 tackles, 18 interceptions, two touchdowns, 37 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 45 games for the Savage Storm.

In 2016, he was named NFCA Second Team All-American, a second-team All-America selection by NFCA and D2CCA, and first-team All-Super Region 3 in both NFCA and D2CCA.
