Saskatchewan Roughriders and DL Charbel Dabire agree to a contract extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders and defensive lineman Charbel Dabire agreed to a one-year contract extension on Monday through the 2023 season. The 25-year-old from Burkina Faso, had ten tackles, and two sacks in 15 games for the Roughriders in 2022.

This will be Dabire’s fourth season in Saskatchewan after the Roughriders drafted him in the fifth round (44th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft out of Wagner College. In three seasons with the Roughriders, Dabire has 25 tackles, and four sacks in 37 games.

Collegiately, Dabire played three seasons (2016-18) at Wagner College with 73 tackles, one forced fumble, and two sacks in 33 games.
