On Thursday, the Montreal Alouettes signed Laval product Mathieu Robitaille to a two-year contract.

Mathieu Robitaille (24-years-old) signed with the Alouettes as an undrafted free agent from Laval but elected to return to Université Laval Rouge et Or for his senior season. In his senior year, he played eight games with 24 catches for 234-yards, four carries for 23-yards, and three touchdowns.

Robitaille played 30 games in four seasons (2017-19, 2021) with 74 catches for 1,011 yards, four touchdowns, seven carries for 57 yards, and three touchdowns. Mathieu Robitaille had three punt returns for 29 yards and six kick returns for 84 yards.

Robitaille made two Vanier Cup appearances (2017, 2018), winning in 2018 over the Western Mustangs 34-20.
