On Wednesday, the Edmonton Elks signed RB Terrance Roberts, LB Tyrell Robinson, and DB Marcus Lewis. In addition, the Elks released DB Tyree Robinson.
Terrance Roberts (24-years-old) last played in 2019 at Central Oklahoma with 127 carries for 668-yards, ten touchdowns, and 13 catches for 97-yards. At Mesa College, Roberts played two seasons (2017-18) with 308 carries for 2,050 yards, 18 touchdowns, 21 catches for 86-yards, and three touchdowns.
Tyrell Robinson (27-years-old) recently played for the San Diego Strike Force of the Indoor Football League. He also played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In college, he played nine games in Oregon with three tackles in his freshman year. After Oregon, he transferred to Fresno State.
Marcus Lewis (25-years-old) recently played four games for the Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 with nine tackles. Lewis played 12 games in two seasons (2015-16) at Florida State with 21 tackles, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one interception.
He spent his last two seasons (2017-18) at Maryland playing 16 games with 44 tackles, two interceptions, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
Tyree Robinson (27-years-old) played safety at the University of Oregon. In four years with the Ducks, he played in 52 games with 201 tackles, two sacks, 23 passes, defended four fumble recoveries, and six interceptions.
He returned an interception for a 100-yard touchdown in the Las Vegas Bowl in his senior year, but the Ducks lost 38-28 against Boise State. In 2017, he won the Todd Doxey Award (Team Award for Character and Service).
After college, Robinson went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys and spent the season on the practice squad. In December, he was signed off the Cowboys practice squad by the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers released him in August of 2019.
In 2020, he signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. After the cancellation of the season, he opt-out of his contract. He later resigned with the Tiger-Cats in October 2020 but was released in July of 2021 then signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
